Extended Day Care

2025/26 EDC Registration is open at this time!
Now in its 35th year, the Lumberton Extended Day Care Program (EDC) provides safe,
affordable and convenient day care for Lumberton, Mount Holly and Edgewater Park
resident children in 3-year old Pre-K through grade 8. Mrs. Diane Solan serves as the EDC
Coordinator and Mrs. Jennifer Grimm is the EDC Secretary – contact information can be
found at the bottom of this page.
While at Extended Day Care, children are offered a safe, fun, and relaxed atmosphere with
opportunities for many different activities, including games, crafts, athletics and homework.
All activities are conducted and monitored by a professional and caring staff. Extended Day
Care is funded through parental tuition. Tuition payments are made one full week in
advance on Wednesdays. Late registration fees apply when the Wednesday prior deadline
is missed ($5 per scheduled day late fee.) Parents are required to register their children
each year. EDC does not accept subsidized tuition; however, discounted tuition rates are
offered to those families that are eligible for free/reduced school meals, as determined and
authorized by the school district each year. Please contact the EDC office for a Reduced
EDC Tuition Application/Authorization Form.
