We are very excited to share the Lumberton Township School District has been awarded a Preschool Expansion grant from the New Jersey Department of Education. This award totaling $345,072 will allow the Lumberton Township School District to provide FREE, high quality preschool to a number of our three and four year-old students this year. We are pleased to share that we will be partnering with the Center for Family Services (100 Maple Grove Blvd. Lumberton) to provide free, quality preschool to 42 eligible Lumberton children.

Who is eligible to participate?
Posted by:Children 3, 4 and 5 years old living in Lumberton
A child must not be eligible for kindergarten at the time of enrollment.
Families must meet the criteria as outlined by Head Start though some exceptions may be made for families moderately over these amounts.
We are hoping to expand the grant in future years to include eligibility for all Lumberton preschool age children.

How do I register my child for free preschool through the grant?

What do I do if my child has been accepted?
Posted by:If your child has been accepted, there is some additional paperwork to fill out. Here is the LTSD Registration Requirements for Approved Students as well as the LTSD New Student Registration Form.

What is the deadline for registration?
Posted by:The deadline for registration is currently Tuesday, January 19, 2021. This deadline may be adjusted based on participation.

What happens if more than 42 students are registered?
Posted by:The district would hold a lottery to determine the participants. The lottery would be held the afternoon of January 22, 2021.
